safety
Francescano Painting has a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management System which includes our key policies and processes for OH&S, Environmental Management and Quality, as well as key workplace safety elements, such as Hazard and Risk Management, Health and Welfare, Training, Hazardous Work and Incident Reporting.
We complete JSAs or SWMS for every job that we undertake, as well as Take 5’s before we commence work to ensure that any potential hazards are identified. We make sure we consult all safety data sheets before using paint and other applications to ensure we are compliant with processes, application requirements and safety standards for these products.
As one of Perth’s leading painting businesses, we also have all the equipment, tools and materials necessary to conduct painting projects, including vehicles, ladders, access to an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and all essential PPE and WHS safety site items, such as bollards, tapes and signage.
environmental sustainability
Francescano Painting is committed to environmental sustainability and reducing the environmental footprint of our operations.
We are a member of the Dulux Envirosolutions Recovery program which allows professional painters to return their used 15L plastic buckets, lids and tear strips, diverting them from landfill. These items are then manufactured into recycled Australian-made tools and products. This program also gives us access to Dulux paint brush cleaning systems, such as Envirowash and Store & Go, which are kind to the environment.
We also have other environmental management strategies in place.
These include:
- Using zero or low VOC paints, where possible – low VOC paints release fewer harmful chemicals into the environment
- Disposing of waste paint and materials at local recycling centres in Perth
- Recycling materials where possible e.g. cardboard from packaging
- Regularly reviewing our energy needs to ensure we are only using what we require.
